How to reset the Password for ASMSNMP user in an ASM instance

Here we will see 2 methods to achieve it:

--# 1)  Using Alter User Command
--#########################################

$ export ORACLE_SID=+ASM
$ . oraenv
$ sqlplus / as sysasm

SQL> Alter user asmsnmp identified by <password>;
User altered.

--# 2)  Using ASMCMD Prompt. In a clusted environmet this method would update the password on all nodes in the cluster.
--###############################################################################

We can modify the password for ASMSNMP user using asmcmd command "orapwusr"

orapwusr --modify --password asmsnmp


[oracle@host01 ~]$ asmcmd -p
ASMCMD [+] > lspwusr
Username sysdba sysoper sysasm
     SYS   TRUE    TRUE   TRUE
 ASMSNMP   TRUE   FALSE  FALSE
